NIBRS (National Incident-Based Reporting System) is an incident-based crime reporting system that collects data on each single crime incident and arrest. Unlike the Summary Reporting System (SRS), which uses the hierarchy rule and reports only limited aggregate data, NIBRS captures detailed information on up to 10 victims, 10 offenders, and all offenses in a single incident.
